Stress – Can’t live with it; Can’t live without it!

Stress is known as America’s number one Health Problem and over 80% of all visits to doctors are due to stress-related disorders.

  • Stress is an unavoidable consequence of life.
  • Without stress, there would be no life.
  • Chronic stress directly affects the immune system.
  • Stress is not always necessarily harmful.
  • Good health is more than just absence of illness, symptoms, or pain.

According to The American Stress Institute, Stress itself is not a disease although it can & does aggravate numerous conditions such as Heart disease, Diabetes, Insomnia, Fatigue, etc. It is well-known that your life experiences from birth on, shape your behavior so ways you handle your life experiences affect your ability to deal with your stress in the future. Therefore, it is imperative that all individuals, children, and adults learn skills or experience ways to reduce and balance the ‘stress’ or ‘stressful’ stimuli in their everyday lives. Failure to do this could result in a downhill spiral of emotional and physical imbalances for years to come.

Positive health depends on three factors, which are interconnected:

The body’s structural system, including all their functions.

Body’s biochemical process absorption and utilization of nutrients, elimination of waste along with the complicated biochemical relationships which are the key to cellular function and health.

The mind and emotions, as well as the spiritual dimension of each person.

“When there is a balanced energetic interplay between these three components,
we have ‘health’. But when imbalances exist within any of these factors,
or in their relationships with each other, ill-health occurs.”  —Dr. Chaitow
True healing is: Spiritual – Emotional – Mental – and lastly Physical. So, if a physical issue keeps arising, its’ probably a nudge to look at thoughts and emotions. More than likely these areas need to be addressed too.
